No, a blood test is not required for an ultrasound scan. However, you will need to have a consultation with one of our general practitioners/physicians before the scan, or provide a referral letter from your doctor.

The earliest you can have an ultrasound scan is at 5 weeks of pregnancy.
How many weeks into pregnancy can I find out the baby’s gender?
You can typically find out the baby’s gender from around 16 weeks of pregnancy through an ultrasound scan.
How long does it take to receive my ultrasound results?
You will receive your ultrasound results during your consultation on the same day.
If there’s any abnormality in the pregnancy, will the sonographer explain it straight away?
If the sonographer identifies any abnormalities, they will inform you during your consultation and provide guidance on the next steps.
