Dr Carla Binenbojm is a highly experienced Dermatology Specialist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with over 30 years of clinical expertise. Her passion for science and deep understanding of human nature inspired her to pursue medicine, later specialising in Dermatology due to its close connection with Immunology and Infectious Diseases.

Dr Binenbojm earned her medical degree from the University of State of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and holds a Master’s degree in Dermatology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, graduating with the highest distinction. She also completed a Diploma in Dermatology at Queen Mary University of London, where she was recognised as the best student of the year and received the award for best dissertation, titled “Guttate Psoriasis.”

Throughout her career, Dr Binenbojm has worked in state hospitals, university hospitals, and private clinics, including 12 years running her own clinic in Rio de Janeiro. She has a particular interest in paediatric dermatology, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, and alopecia.

In 2024, Dr Binenbojm was appointed as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Dermatology and Genodermatoses at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, where she worked full-time across several complex dermatology clinics. Since October 2025, she has continued her journey at St Thomas’, providing daily care in general and paediatric dermatology.

Dr Binenbojm is a member of the Brazilian Society of Dermatology. Known for her compassionate and holistic approach, she is dedicated to listening carefully to her patients, understanding their concerns, and offering the best available treatments.

Outside of her professional life, Dr Binenbojm enjoys nature, travelling, arts, and reading—interests that reflect her balanced and thoughtful approach to both medicine and life.
